Gabe Rucker and Dustin Clark Pair Up for Collaborative Dinner

Le Pigeon chef-owner Gabriel Rucker and Dustin Clark, chef of the now closed Wildwood, are pairing up for what could be considered a “mutual respect” dinner Sept. 11 at Le Pigeon.

These two chefs have a bit of history together, including being former business neighbors. Rucker began his cooking career in Portland, Ore. at Paley’s Place, neighbor to Wildwood restaurant in the Northwest neighborhood. Over the years it became his favorite spot for a long leisurely lunch (usually accompanied by a bottle of chablis).

It was through these frequent visits that Rucker gained a strong respect for Clark’s food. The feeling was mutual and now, years later - and post-Wildwood’s closure - Rucker and the Le Pigeon team will welcome Clark into their kitchen Sept. 11 for a five-course collaborative tasting menu, with seatings at 5:30 and 8:15 p.m.

The genesis for this special evening came earlier this summer when Rucker was cooking at a special event and needed help from a capable pair of hands he knew he could trust: Enter Dustin Clark.

Over the course of the day the two begin conceptualizing a collaborative dinner, a way to showcase the food of Wildwood and Le Pigeon together. The dinner will feature of two courses conceived by Clark, and two courses from Rucker, with a special dessert course from Le Pigeon Pastry Chef Nora Antene.

The dinner is $125 per person including wine pairings and gratuity. For reservations please call the restaurant at (503) 546-8796, seating is limited.
