Culinaria at Disjecta

September 29

Food and art? Cool. Monday night kicks off a new season of Culinaria, the chef-driven dinner series bringing food lovers and art lovers together around the table at Disjecta Contemporary Art Center in support of their Curator-in-Residence program.

Pairing chefs, the curator and the artists, Culinaria offers intimate access to the creative process culminating in a unique menu created specifically in response to the exhibition. On Monday, Sept. 29, the first dinner of this season, ambitious and innovative Chef Henry Kibit (of Fireside, Rocket and Per Se) will be exploring the architecture of flavor and nutrition against the backdrop of Intimate Horizons. Chef Kibit and his staff are as much a part of the show as the art, choreographing the often graceful, sometimes haphazard ballet of the kitchen in full view.

Participants will have the opportunity to meet with curator Rachel Adams, the guest chef, Disjecta director Bryan Suereth and artists participating in the exhibitions. Price includes exhibition tour with the curator, dinner, and beverages including wine and beer. 21+ only.

All-Way Restaurant Opening

October 2014

With the closing of the Red Coach Restaurant back in April, restaurateur Peter Bro has decided to take the space over and open up a place called All-Way. Opening up some time in October, All-Way will not only be offering lunch and dinner, but after-hour cocktails. The menu will feature many diner entrées as well as a few additional dishes. Even though the menu and feel will be much more like a diner than anything else, the interior will stay the same.

It's located at 615 SW Broadway, so watch that space.
