Magic: The Gathering Auction Raising Money for St. Jude Children’s Hospital

Do you like Magic: The Gathering? Do you like awesome charities? Well if you answered yes to either of those questions then do I have an event for you! Currently a YouTube user named Wedge who runs The Mana Source channel is doing a charity auction for St. Jude Children’s Hospital. He has acquired donated items from other Magic community members and stuff from his own collection and has been doing live auctions for these items on the streaming website Twitch. All of these proceeds go to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and the response has been a little mind blowing.

Beginning on the 18th, Wedge auctioned off a box of booster packs form the Ravnica series. The box sold for somewhere in the $300 range for a box of cards that normally sells for around a hundred bucks.

On Saturday the 23rd Wedge was given a very high value card called the Time Twister, a card that normally sells for around $500, however through the generosity of the Magic community this card sold for $1,400 almost twice its normal going price.

Just yesterday a Gaea’s Cradle that normally sells for around $160 sold for a whopping $1,000 and the total for that one auction was over $2,200.
