Pacific University Names Inaugural Director of Office of Scholarships

During the 2014-2015 academic year, Ann Barr-Gillespie, vice provost and executive dean of the university's College of Health Professions. Barr-Gillespie convened a group of faculty and staff to assist in redeveloping the future of Pacific University’s research programs. That group helped reorganize Pacific’s Office of Research into the Office of Sponsored Projects. The shift is designed to provide expanded mentorship and services to assist and support faculty and students.
"Dr. Isgrigg brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in working with educators, researchers and funding agencies to support creative work, and we will benefit enormously from her guidance," said Barr-Gillespie.
Isgrigg is currently the executive director of the Oregon Healthcare Workforce Institute, a non-profit, public-private partnership using research, data analytics, and collective impact approaches to engage leaders from industry, education, workforce development, and government in developing solutions to Oregon's healthcare workforce needs.
"I'm honored to have been selected and very excited for this new opportunity," Isgrigg said. "I am very impressed by the collaborative research endeavors between faculty members and students at Pacific, and look forward to helping identify and secure resources for future research opportunities to advance the university's commitment to scholarship at the highest level."
Isgrigg possesses a doctorate in public administration and policy from Portland State University, and has served as an adjunct faculty member within PSU's public health, public administration and gerontology programs. She will officially assume the new position on January 15, 2016.
