Oregon voters rejected Measure 90, a statewide ballot measure that will change the way political candidates are nominated for general elections.
For partisan state offices, instead of having a Democratic primary and a Republican primary and then having the winners of the two primaries face-off in the general election, all candidates will appear on one ballot during a nonpartisan primary before the top two candidates would square off in the general election.

The measure, which was proposed to the state legislature by Treasurer Ted Wheeler, would have amended the state constitution.
