In an effort to reach out to local, emerging small businesses and those owned by women and minorities, the Multnomah County Central Courthouse Project will host an open house on Monday, August 31.

The event will be held in the board room of the Multnomah Building at 501 SE Hawthorne Blvd Portland from 4 pm to 5:30 pm and will serve as an opportunity for architectural, engineering, professional services, public involvement and training firms to learn about the estimated $250 million project and discuss project opportunities.

Multnomah County is the lead agency for the Central Courthouse project.

The county and its project partners are committed to providing equal opportunities and encouraging Minority, Women and Emerging Small Business (MWESB) firms to compete for contracting opportunities. During the design phase of the project, the county and SRG will actively recruit small businesses and will provide workshop and mentorship opportunities for MWESB’s.  Similar outreach will also occur during the construction phase of the project.

The open house will begin with a short introduction of the team and overview of the project.  The following is a partial list of some of the skills the county and SRG are looking for:

Architectural design
Interior design
Historic preservation
Landscape architecture
Structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing engineering
Training and facilitation
Public involvement
ADA compliance
Specialty Consultants
Suppliers and Vendors

Details: Central Courthouse Open House, Multnomah Building Board Room, 501 S.E. Hawthorne Blvd., 4pm-5:30 pm Monday, August 31.
