- The Bachelor of Arts degree Communications Sciences and Disorders provides the student with an understanding of normal and abnormal human speech, language, and hearing, and, when combined with the required research and methodology courses, the major prepares the students for graduate work.

Portland State University, Portland, OR
- The Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences at PSU offers undergraduate coursework in the areas of speech, language, hearing, and swallowing development, as well as speech-language pathology and audiology, and satisfies the requirements to apply to a graduate program in communicative disorders.
- A Senior Capstone is a required culmination of the University Studies program. It is a 6-credit, community-based learning course designed to provide students with the opportunity to apply what they have learned in their major.
