One more week until Thanksgiving. One more week until the obligatory turky dinner, time spent with relatives, and upset stomach. Until then, why don't you attend a musical, a concert featuring old classics, or an event feautring one of your favorite comedians?

Super Diamond - The Neil Diamond Tribute

Described as having "transcended the label of 'tribute band'," Super Diamond has been paying homage to the iconic singer Neil Diamond and performing shows across the United States for over a decade. With front man Randy Coreiro channeling Diamond's voice and charisma, this is as close to the real deal as it is possible to get. Friday November 22, 8 pm, McMenamins Crystal Ballroom, 1332 W Burnside St., 225-0047, 21+. Click HERE for ticket information.

John Oliver

The former Daily Show guest host and current star of his own show Last Week Tonight With John Oliver will be here in Portland this Saturday as part of his current tour. Who doesn't need their daily dose of biting, satirical takedown of national politics and current events? Make sure to get your tickets now before they're sold out. Saturday Nov. 22, 8 pm and 10:30 pm, Keller Auditorium, 222 SW Clay St., 248-4335. Click HERE for ticket information.

True West

The Profile Theatre's production of "True West," the final entry in the company's year-longs season dedicated to American playwright Sam Shepard, will be coming to an end this Sunday. Estranged brothers with a bad case of sibling rivalry, Austin and Lee attempt to live together for the first time in five years, grappling with their jealousy and insecurities. Nov. 6 - 23, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm, Sunday at 2 pm, Artists Repertory Theatre, 1516 SW Alder St., 242-0080. Click HERE for ticket information.

Flash Ah-AHHH!

The rock'n roll, theatrical tribute to Flash Gordon you never knew you wanted. Having performed sold-out shows earlier this year in February and April, "Flash Ah-AHHH!" is back for more 80s campy goodness. Now with 16 Queen musical numbers! GoLocalPDX editor Byron Beck will be performing as the MC. Nov. 22 - 23, 2 pm and 7 pm Alberta Rose Theatre, 3000 NE Alberta St., 764-4131. Minors OK when accompanied by a guardian.
