Suspicious Death of Hazelwood Couple Being Investigated as Homicide

The victims died at their home on NE 114th Avenue in Hazelwood

After discovering the bodies of a deceased married couple at their East Portland home Thursday afternoon, Police said they’re investigating the deaths as a double homicide.

The names of the couple, both 65, have not been released so the victims family members can be notified. 

Although a cause of death has yet to be determined, detectives said the victims died of “homicidal violence” at their home on NE 114th Avenue.

Last Day to Mail Ballots for Election

Multnomah County Elections officials are reminding registered voters that today is the last day to safely mail their ballots before the Nov. 4 general election.

All registered voters in Oregon should have already received their ballots in the mail.

However it’s possible some ballots post-marked Oct. 31 may not be counted in the election, since ballots must be received by county election officials before polls close Tuesday.

Ballots can be dropped off in-person at any official county elections drop-box.
