Does this weekend's rain-filled forecast have you down? Well, get used to it. Halloween has past and November has arrived, meaning the gray weather of winter is here to stay, at least for the next few months.
PortlandNeighborhood.com's guide "Moving to Portland, Oregon" spells out the situation in plain terms.
"It rains a lot here. A lot," the guide reads. "If you are moving to Portland, Oregon it is imperative that you know there will be long periods for which you will not see the sun. Between November and April we normally don't go even one day without rain. Some reports say Portland has rain approximately 155 days per year.
That is no reason to fret, however. Portlanders are particularly suited to handle those rainy days and nights. The weather seems to suit the city, and plays well into its many passions and creative outlets.
