Hales Names Sara Hottman Communications Director
Thursday, November 26, 2015
Hottman was previously the digital media director in the Mayor’s Office. Hotelman replaces Dana Haynes, the mayor’s previous and first communications director, who stepped down earlier in November.
“Sara will make for a smooth transition,” Mayor Hales said. “She previously served as interim communications director. She expanded our office’s digital reach on social media and with the citywide dashboard, and now I’m glad to see her take a leadership role.”
Hottman joined the Hales team in 2013. She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science from Fordham University and is currently working towards a master’s degree in political science from Portland State University.
