Nosh4Nonviolence Aims to Support Survivors of Domestic Violence
Thursday, October 22, 2015
The night is sponsored by the Salvation Army Portland Metro and benefits the Portland Women’s Crisis Line and the West Women and Children’s Shelter. Diners that eat at any of the 16 participating restaurants will have a portion of their payment donated to the shelters.
The Portland Women’s Crisis Line was founded in 1973, and the West Shelter was founded in 1980, and both work to end domestic and sexual violence in Portland. The two organizations are home to more than 60 volunteers and receive about 27,000 calls each year.
For more information on the event, now in its sixth year, and to see which restaurants will participate, visit the Nosh4NonViolence website.
