One Person Dies in Drunk Driving Crash Near Woodburn

Police say that a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche rear-ended a 2000 Honda Oddesy while traveling south on Highway 99 near milepost 34 at roughly 2:43 AM on Sunday. Martha Cruz Aldama, 34, of Woodbury, riding in was killed in the crash.
The driver of the Avalanche, Leovigildo Torrid Arzola, was arrested and booked at the Marion County jail and charged with driving while under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, reckless endangering of a person and manslaughter.
The crash is still under investigation, and more charges against Arzola are being considered.
