Oregon State Given 7 Seed in NCAA Tournament

Oregon State has been given a 7 seed in the NCAA Tournament by the selection committee and will play Virginia Commonwealth (VCU) in the first round of action on Friday in Oklahoma City. The Beavers are making their first appearance in the tournament since 1990. 

Oregon State finished the season with a record of 9-9 in the Pac-12 and 19-12 overall losing to California in the Pac-12 Tournament. 

The Beavers started the conference season with a record of 3-6 but finished it off by winning 6 of their last 9 games, and it's opening game of the Pac-12 Tournament. 

The Number One Seeds 

The number one seeds in the tournament are Kansas, North Carolina, Virginia and Oregon. The Ducks are the number one seed in the West Region which is where Oregon State is.
