Spotted In Portland: President Jimmy Carter at Jake’s Famous Crawfish

President Jimmy Carter was spotted on Tuesday, July 28, leaving Jake's Famous Crawfish on Southwest Stark Street heading toward the Sentinel Hotel.

The 39th President of the United States was in Portland for a speaking engagement and book signing the day prior at Powell's Books on West Burnside.

On Southwest Stark Street the president was seen leaving Jake's Famous at 12:45 pm, where it can be assumed he had lunch at one of Portland's most notable restaurants for celebrity and politico sightings.

As the temps were inching up, the 91-year-old Carter looked calm and collected in a brown check jacket and maintained a determined gait as he walked down the street surrounded by a small entourage and without being recognized...except by GoLocalPDX of course.
