Pedestrian Struck and Killed in Southeast Portland

The victim, described as a female in her 80s by police, was riding her motorized scooter southbound across Southeast Division Street, in a crosswalk, when she was hit by a blue Honda SUV.
The driver, a 61-year-old-female, was traveling westbound on Division when she collided with the victim. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
The crash closed Southeast Division Street for several hours while the Traffic Division’s Major Crash Team conducted an investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
